“What stuff 'tis made of”- The Material History of Lord Denney's Players

Join us for the opening reception of LDP’s exhibition "'What stuff 'tis made of'- The Material History of Lord Denney's Players" hosted by the Humanities Institute at OSU on Wednesday, January 17th from 4 - 5:30 pm in 198 Hagerty Hall.

The exhibition features a collection of props, costumes and more from Lord Denney's Players (LDP).

During the opening reception, Sarah Neville, professor in the Department of English and the Department of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts and creative director of Lord Denney's Players, will talk about how this collection of properties, costume pieces and dramatic paratexts (tickets, programs) showcases the material history of LDP and commemorates its ten productions. Professor Neville will also discuss the foundation and history of the company and share the stories behind some of the most notable items in this exhibition.

During the reception, light refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Megan Moriarty, Communications and Marketing Specialist for the Humanities Institute.

The exhibition will be on view in 198 Hagerty Hall through April 22, 2024, which will be open to the public from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
